The EIO  Fund was initiated in 2006 when the WCCF was approved as an Educational Improvement Organization through the Pennsylvania Department of Community & Economic Development's Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program.  This tax credit program permits corporations to make contributions to the WCCF's EIO Fund and receive up to a 90% tax credit.  Public Schools are not eligible to receive the EIO designation but may receive grants in support of innovative educational programs operating in the school.
