In October 2007, the WCCF was approved as a K-12 Scholarship Organization through the Pennsylvania Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) Program, which permits contributing corporations to receive a tax credit of up to 90% of the contribution. As part of this program, local students attending non-public schools can benefit from scholarships. These scholarships are based on financial data, considering tuition, household income, number of individuals in the household, and scholarships received from other sources. Other criteria specify that students must reside in Washington County and the amount of the scholarship cannot exceed the cost of tuition. Additional information for Fall 2008 applications will be provided at a later date.
