In recognition of our first female Chairman of the Board, Carlyn Belczyk, the
WCCF dedicated the year 2007 to the Women of Philanthropy Education &
Development Campaign. The campaign, which utilizes strategic
partnerships with community groups, is designed to promote and facilitate
women's role in philanthropy and to provide ongoing financial support, through
the Mother's Fund, to charities offering programs for
disadvantaged women and their children in Washington County.
Several events throughout 2007 have helped to raise awareness of the Mother's Fund, including:

The Status of Women in Southwestern PA (date to be determined): The findings of this report will be presented at an educational seminar hosted by the WCCF in partnership with the Women and Girls Foundation as well as Chatham College. The purpose of the seminar will be to educate grant seekers, policy makers and the general public working to enhance the status of women in the region. |
