In recognition of our first female Chairman of the Board, Carlyn Belczyk, the WCCF dedicated the year 2007 to the Women of Philanthropy Education & Development Campaign. The campaign, which utilizes strategic partnerships with community groups, is designed to promote and facilitate women's role in philanthropy and to provide ongoing financial support, through the Mother's Fund, to charities offering programs for disadvantaged women and their children in Washington County.
Several events throughout 2007 have helped to raise awareness of the Mother's Fund, including:
● The Women of Philanthropy Celebration and Grant Ceremony, May 11th 2007
● Wild Thing's Tribute to Moms at CONSOL Energy Park, August 2nd 2007
● The Women of Philanthropy Symposium and ATHENA Awards, October 12th 2007
● The Philanthropist of the Year Banquet, November 16th 2007

The findings of this report will be presented at an educational seminar hosted by the WCCF in partnership with the Women and Girls Foundation as well as Chatham College.
