Created in 1999 by family and friends in honor of Arthur V. Ciervo to provide scholarships to needy Bethlehem Center graduates.

Mr. Ciervo was encouraged by his father and grandfather to pursue an education rather than follow them into the coal mines of Fredericktown.  He heeded the advice and went on to become a successful journalist.  One of his published works, Always in a Hole, is based upon his experiences of growing up in the small coal mining town of Richeyville.
