Created in 2004 in memory of Dawn "Dee" Lindsay.

Dee, born in 1946 in Amity, was a 1964 graduate of Trinity High School and a 1966 graduate of the Washington Hospital School of Nursing.  In 1971, she married Donald G. Lindsay.  Dee worked as a nurse at Washington Hospital for several years and spent the last 18 years of her life at Presbyterian Senior Care, Washington Campus.  She was a member, deaconess and Sunday school teacher at Claysville United Presbyterian Church and a member of Claysville Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.  She also enjoyed reading, crocheting, trap shooting, and traveling.

Dee was always encouraging her fellow nursing staff members to continue to further their education in the field of geriatrics.  Numerous people at the Presbyterian Senior Care have said that Dee trained more of their current staff than any other person.  They hope that initiating this fund will create a living legacy of Dee's commitment to education.

This fund will provide for the continuing education of PSC Certified Nurse Aides, LPN's, and RN's employed at Presbyterian Senior Care in Washington, PA.
