Programs and Services
- HRCDC assisted several homeowners with repairs to remain in their homes who are low-income veterans, seniors, or permanently physically disabled to stabilize their homes through our Mending Fences Program. New furnaces were provided by Columbia Gas through its annual Warm Wise Program. Our partnership with Columbia Gas was to identify qualified homeowners who were in dire circumstances of not having heat this winter.
- HRCDC also has a Staying Green Program that includes garden plots in the largest Community Garden in the City; residents grow fresh produce of their choice. HRCDC is also the official stewards of the Mayor’s Park for Western Pennsylvania Conservancy. With help of volunteers, HRCDC coordinates clean up days, and maintain flower planters along Rt19 corridor, as well as trashcans throughout the City.
