The Community Action Southwest Fund was created by the Board of Directors of Community Action Southwest to manage the agency endowment.
Community Action Southwest (CAS) was founded in 1965 by community leaders to bring to light conditions which lead to poverty in Washington and Greene Counties . The goal of CAS is to “mobilize public and private resources to deal with the causes of poverty, not just its impact.”
Each year, CAS serves some 18,000 individuals through its 50 programs. Operations are directed by a 22‐member Board of Directors.
