Clyde J. Tracanna was a long time Rotarian who was also active in many other local civic and charitable causes. He was also a strong advocate for post-secondary education. While he was active in the Washington Rotary Club, he orchestrated the creation of a trust to provide scholarships to "well-rounded" students from McGuffey, Trinity and Washington school districts. The primary fund raising activity for this trust was the sale of specialized Monopoly Games featuring real estate from the city of Washington. As a lasting memorial to his leadership and dedication, the Washington Rotary renamed the trust after Clyde. To ensure the preservation of this trust, it was transferred to the WCCF in 2001. The Washington Rotary Club remains active in the annual selection of awardees. Click here for printable application Click here for a list of scholarship recipients
