(1996) - Created by the former Visiting Nurse's Association, this fund provides $1,000 scholarships to Washington County residents pursuing a degree in nursing.  Students in their second year of nursing school can apply for the award.  Since the inception of the fund, $43,000 has been awarded in scholarships.  The scholarships are limited to residents of Washington County.
