Mission

The Monongahela Area Historical Society organization functions as a historical society for Monongahela City and vicinity.

Programs and Services

  • The Monongahela Area Historical Society (MAHS) serves as a repository for items historically significant to the Monongahela Area. We provide educational programs aimed at all demographic groups ages 6 to our area seniors. Monthly meetings are provided at an ADA accessible facility and range from demonstrations by local artisans to historical presentations. Access to information useful for genealogy research is available to the general public. MAHS serves as facilitator for community activities
  • MAHS has worked closely in the past with local programing to provide our community with access to world class documentaries at no cost to the public.Our society currently is restoring a 1872 home significant for it's architecture and on the National Historical Register.
