Angel Ridge Animal Rescue
Angel Ridge Animal Rescue is a not-for-profit organization that was organized for the purpose of providing shelter, medical care, and food to abandoned, abused, and handicapped animals in southwestern Pennsylvania. The organization also promotes the adoption of the animals.
Programs and Services
- Angel Ridge Animal Rescue is a 501(c)3 charity for dogs, cats and horses. It is located on 50 acre Angel Ridge Farm in Chartiers, Washington County. We provide shelter and care for these animals with the ultimate goal of placing them in loving homes. However, since Angel Ridge Animal Rescue is also a sanctuary, any animal not adopted will be able to live out his life at the facility. We specialize in helping animals who were not accepted by other shelters due to their age, handicap, temperament or other issue.
- Angel Ridge Animal Rescue provides outreach to the community by providing food and supplies to animal caregivers and conducting presentations in local schools on the subjects of animal care and welfare.
- The rescue is primarily run by volunteers. Only two part time paid people do kennel cleaning and maintenance. We get no governmental grants; private donations are the primary source of our funding. Because of the number of aged, sick and handicapped animals that we accept, our veterinary expenses are high, and a major component of our annual budget.
