Carol L. Berthold Scholarship Fund for Dance

Typical Award: One Scholarship of $16,000, Payable over Four Years

Post-Secondary Program: Dance

Requirements:

• Applicant must be a current year graduating senior who is pursuing a degree in dance at an accredited post-secondary educational institution; who demonstrates financial need; and who has demonstrated academic excellence.

Special Consideration

Qualified applicants from Washington County will be given preference. Award is renewable annually, provided the recipient remains enrolled in the dance program and in good academic standing (as defined by the institution).

Application

To be considered for this award, the applicant must submit an online application that includes:

• A response of no more than 500 words to the following essay topic: How will my plans for post-secondary education help me to achieve success in my future career?
• A PDF of the applicant’s FAFSA Student Aid Report.

Deadline

All required application components must be received by April 1. Incomplete submissions will not be considered.

The Foundation will take steps to secure transcripts for any applicant who is under consideration for an award. Scholarship awards are determined solely by the Foundation and scholarship awards may be rescinded at any time if upon further review, the applicant is deemed to be ineligible, or for any other reason as determined by the Foundation.
