Sam & Bev Minor Fund

Typical Award: One Scholarship of $1,000

Post-Secondary Program: Certificate, Associate, or Bachelor's

Requirements

• Applicant must be a current year graduating senior of a Washington County or Greene County high school who demonstrates financial need.

Special Consideration

Qualified applicants who have demonstrated the entrepreneurial spirit, including but not limited to students who have been employed while attending high school, or students who have participated in a Junior Achievement program, or students who have otherwise demonstrated a propensity for entrepreneurialism will be given special consideration.

Application

To be considered for this award, the applicant must submit an online application that includes:

• A response of no more than 500 words to the following essay topic: How will my plans for post-secondary education help me to achieve success in my future career?
  
  
• A PDF of the applicant’s FAFSA Student Aid Report.

Deadline

All required application components must be received by April 1. Incomplete submissions will not be considered.

The Foundation will take steps to secure transcripts for any applicant who is under consideration for an award. Scholarship awards are determined solely by the Foundation and scholarship awards may be rescinded at any time if upon further review, the applicant is deemed to be ineligible, or for any other reason as determined by the Foundation.
