Mission
Our mission is to maintain the Charleroi Cemetery grounds and preserve records. To keep the cemetery as a beautiful resting place.
Programs and Services
- Charleroi Cemetery located in Washington County, Pennsylvania consists of 27 acres, and over 1000 graves. Hundreds of our Veterans are buried there, and date back to the Civil War. Several years back the care of the cemetery was neglected, in which volunteers of family members, and non family members gathered together to clean it up. But we needed a long term solution.
- We created our organization, the Charleroi Cemetery Association, and signed the property over to us. We turned the cemetery into a non profit, 501c3 as of November, 2018.
- Because we have no perpetual care fund established, we our dependent on donations. We need help for maintenance costs, and a our road needs paved.
- Our services include: ground maintenance, record keeping, burial services, and fundraising.
