Paula Falconiʹs compassion for others and zest for life were her gifts to the community — gifts that will continue through the Paula Falconi Fund at the WCCF.
A graduate of Mon Valley Catholic High School, Paula went on to graduate from the University of Pittsburgh. She spent several years working as a supervisor and caseworker for Aging Services of Washington County. Her love of travel led Paula to own and operate Magic City Travel in Washington.
Paula and her husband, Angelo Falconi, were married for more than 20 years, and during that time, she enjoyed traveling, cooking, and spending time with their three Maltese dogs. Paula was also part owner in the Pittsburgh Penguins, and followed the team faithfully.
Paula and Angelo were involved with numerous charities around the area, including a lead gift to build the minor league baseball stadium in Washington, which for a time carried the Falconi name. They made generous gifts to many local charities including Washington & Jefferson College, Washington County Humane Society, Canonsburg General Hospital, Immaculate Conception Church, and the Washington County Italian American Society.
Grants from the Paula D. Falconi Fund will be recommended by a committee of family and friends.
