Clyde J. Tracanna was a long-time Rotarian who was also active in many other local civic and charitable causes. He was also a strong advocate for post‐secondary education.

The Clyde J. Tracanna/Washington Rotary Club Vocational and Educational Fund honors Clyde by providing post-secondary scholarships to well-rounded graduating seniors from McGuffey, Trinity and Washington school districts, who are actively involved in community service.

While he was a member in the Washington Rotary Club, Clyde orchestrated the creation of a trust to provide scholarships to ʺwell-roundedʺ students from McGuffey, Trinity, and Washington school districts. The primary fundraising activity for this trust was the sale of specialized Monopoly Games, featuring real estate from the city of Washington.

In February 1987, just as he was about to become the president of the local United Way, Clyde passed away. The Washington Rotary Club decided to rename the trust after Clyde, and, to ensure its preservation, transferred it to the WCCF in 2001.
