The Three Oaks Internship Fund was created in 2021 to provide grants to nonprofits located in Washington County, Pennsylvania, to provide a monetary stipend to student interns who are:
- Performing services for the non-profit;
- Who are currently enrolled in an accredited course of post-secondary educational study; and
- Who quality as an intern under the then applicable, state, or federal laws and regulations.
In addition to the monetary benefit to the student, internships can provide valuable work experience for students, particularly when the internship is directly related to the student’s educational path.
The Three Oaks Internship Fund was the first of its kind, providing a model for other WCCF donors who are interested in helping post-secondary students in a new and innovative way.
