Programs and Services
- The BACDC purchased and duplicated the original design of the commuter train station on Main Street in Burgettstown, along the Panhandle Trail, which houses Cherry Valley Organics. This added to the economic growth of the borough of Burgettstown.
- The BACDC partnered with the LeMoyne Community Center and sponsored the Summer Lunch Program, which was held at the Social Hall of the Burgettstown Volunteer Fire Co. for two consecutive years (2017-2018). A group of community volunteers served lunch to local children Monday-Friday from June-August.
- The BACDC Outreach Committee collected and distributed 107 backpacks with school supplies, along with 2,120 boost bags of food, for needy children. Started in 2019, the boost bag program continued in 2020 and enabled children to take home food for the weekends. Additionally, community volunteers partnered with the BACDC to plan a Homecoming event for October 2020.
- The BACDC participated in Christmas on Main on December 4, 2019, which was an event held on Main Street in Burgettstown. Approximately 300 people attended and enjoyed food trucks, bake sales, children's craft projects, a visit with Santa Claus, the Burgettstown Senior/Junior Chorus singing Christmas carols, and much more.
