Old Schoolhouse Players

Mission

The Old Schoolhouse Players is a community theater group whose focus is to bring quality theatrical endeavors to the Hickory/Washington County area by utilizing local talent and expertise, coordinating and using volunteers in all aspects of production and training interested people of all ages in all areas of production. The group also actively supports community functions and causes by helping in production areas for special programs and giving benefit performances when possible. Our goal is to present a theater season that has appeal to all age groups, is approachable to people at all socioeconomic levels, and does not discriminage against any individual or group in any way. Old Schoolhouse Players is a non-profit organization.

Programs and Services

  • We present 5-6 plays each season. The plays are selected to please a wide range of audiences, and geared to family audiences. We present dramas, musicals and comedies.
  • Community based Theater utilizing volunteers from the local tri-state communities. We pride ourselves on our beautiful auditorium, and our theater family.
  • Musical theater with live orchestras are presented 2-3 times a season
  • OSP, Old Schoolhouse Players, Broadway in the Country, student scholarships
  • Volunteers welcome to participate in all aspects of theater production.
