Mission
The goals of the Peters Creek Historical Society are to discover, preserve, and commemorate local history for future generations to learn about and enjoy.
Programs and Services
- We work to preserve the 1816 Wright House and the 1780 log house in Venetia which has been turned into a museum depicting life in the 1700's and 1800's in this area. We preserve both buildings and gardens and create historical displays. We give tours to the public. We have meetings with guest speakers 9 to 10 months out of the year the fourth Monday of the month. The public is invited to attend these informational programs.
