Internship Grants Available for Local Nonprofits

EIGHTY FOUR, Pa. – The Washington County Community Foundation is currently seeking applications from local nonprofits for internship grants. These grants will allow nonprofits to provide a monetary stipend to student interns who: are performing services for the non-profit; are currently enrolled in an accredited course of post‐secondary educational study; and who qualify as an intern under the applicable state and federal laws and regulations.

Internship programs offer an array of opportunities for students to bridge the gap between academic learning and practical application while the host organization gains additional help that may increase efficiency and serve as a talent pipeline for future full-time positions.

“Supporting local students while strengthening our nonprofits is a win-win for the community,” said Aliesha Walz, WCCF President and CEO. “These internship grants give students hands-on experience, help nonprofits expand their impact, and build a pipeline for future talent.”

A total of $5,000 will be awarded this year. Nonprofit organizations who would like to be considered for an internship grant in 2026 should apply by May 1 via www.wccf.net. Questions should be directed to the Foundation at 724-222-6330 or allocations@wccf.net.
