More Support for Local Charities: WCCF Gives Online Processing Costs Covered

EIGHTY FOUR, Pa. – Thanks to the generosity of an anonymous donor, online processing costs associated with WCCF Gives contributions will be covered, ensuring more donor dollars will directly benefit participating charities.

Since 2013, the Washington County Community Foundation (WCCF) has hosted WCCF Gives, a community-wide giving event supporting local charitable organizations. The Foundation does not charge charities to participate, but contributions made by credit cards carry unavoidable processing costs.

The anonymous donor’s gift will offset those costs so that participating charities can receive the full value of each contribution made through WCCF Gives.

Credit card donors will still have the option to cover the processing fee at checkout. Donors who choose to do so will help extend the impact of this anonymous gift.

To add to the excitement of the event, WCCF Gives charities have the opportunity to win monetary prizes, made possible by the generosity of sponsors.

In celebration of the Foundation’s 30th anniversary, WCCF Gives 2026 will offer a record-breaking $200,000 in total prize incentives. In addition to the traditional $100,000 prize pool, participating charities will have the opportunity to benefit from a new $100,000 Power Boost. The Power Boost is reserved for charities that record at least 20 unique donors and/or raise at least $1,500 through the event.

“Our local charities take on the hard, necessary work that keeps Washington County strong. WCCF Gives is a chance to make every gift go further. Since one of our generous donors is covering the online processing fees, the amount you give is the amount your designated charities will receive. Please join your neighbors in supporting the wonderful causes that make this community so vibrant. Give through WCCF Gives," said Aliesha Walz, WCCF President & CEO.

Online contributions for WCCF Gives will be accepted from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, September 10, at wccfgives.org. Donations made by check must be postmarked by September 10. The minimum gift is $25. Visit wccfgives.org for complete details.
