EIGHTY FOUR, Pa. – The Washington County Community Foundation (WCCF) is proud to announce that Joann Naser, Manager for Nonprofit Leadership & Engagement, was honored as the Clara L. Deems Neighbor of the Year at the 59th Annual Dinner of the Mental Health Association of Washington County. The award is presented annually to individuals who demonstrate exceptional community service and support for mental health initiatives.
Prior to joining WCCF, Naser served as Chief Development Officer for Transitional Paths to Independent Living (TRPIL)/Voices for Independence, where she helped expand services for individuals with disabilities across Western Pennsylvania and led the organization’s first successful capital campaign.
A graduate of Washington & Jefferson College and PennWest California, Naser remains actively involved in the community through volunteer service and community engagement initiatives.

Founded in 1965, the Mental Health Association of Washington County is a non-profit agency dedicated to assisting people with mental illness. For over 60 years, the Mental Health Association has played a leading role in advocacy, providing services, and educating the community.

The WCCF’s mission is to improve the quality of life in Washington County by promoting and facilitating philanthropy. In addition to issuing grants to local nonprofits, the Foundation also facilitates WCCF Gives, an annual giving event that benefits more than 100 local charities.
