Martha Y. Berman Honored with Posthumous Richard L. White Excellence Award for Board Service

The Washington County Community Foundation (WCCF) is pleased to announce that Martha Y. Berman has been named the posthumous recipient of this year’s Richard L. White Excellence Award for Board Service. Created by the WCCF Board of Trustees in 2012, the award recognizes an individual who serves as an exemplary member of the Board, wholeheartedly sharing his or her time, talent, and treasures to support the Foundation and its mission.

Dr. Trisha Craig to Receive WCCF's Dr. Howard Jack Outstanding Public Educator Award

The Washington County Community Foundation (WCCF) is pleased to announce that it has selected Dr. Trisha Craig to receive its annual Dr. Howard Jack Outstanding Public Educator Award. The award recognizes a local public educator who has displayed the ability to inspire children from all backgrounds and abilities, who has earned the respect of colleagues, students and parents, and who is actively engaged in the community.

Robert C. Griffin to Receive WCCF's Louis E. Waller Humanitarian Award

The Washington County Community Foundation (WCCF) is pleased to announce that it has selected Robert C. Griffin to receive its annual Louis E. Waller Humanitarian Award. The award recognizes a local individual or organization devoted to the promotion of human welfare or the advancement of social reform as evidenced by humanitarian deeds in the community, whether local, national, or international.

Community Foundation Announces $150,000 Grants Program for Small Libraries

The WCCF is pleased to announce the creation of a special capacity-building grants program from its Community CARE Fund (CCF) to support small, independent, community-based libraries in Washington County. Up to $150,000 will be issued in CCF grants to small libraries during this cycle.

WCCF Partners with EQT to Present Life-Changing Scholarship

Up to $72,000 Available for One Student

With generous support from the EQT Foundation, the EQT Students of Excellence Scholarship Fund was recently established at the WCCF to provide scholarships to graduating Washington County high school seniors.

More than $218,000 in Scholarships Available

The WCCF is currently accepting applications for its more than 40 post-secondary scholarships. Each scholarship is unique according to its donor’s wishes. The scholarships target students graduating from specific high schools, pursuing specific areas of study, and demonstrating financial need.
