EIGHTY FOUR, Pa. – In celebration of its 30th anniversary year, the Washington County Community Foundation (WCCF) is making a record-breaking $200,000 available in WCCF Gives prize incentives.
For the past 13 years, WCCF Gives has united donors and local charities in support of Washington County, cumulatively awarding nearly $16 million in unrestricted grants. Thanks to generous sponsors, the event has historically offered $100,000 in prizes to motivate organizations of all sizes to make the most of this coordinated, community-wide fundraising effort. For 2026, an additional $100,000 in prizes will be available through a special "Power Boost" opportunity designed to inspire participating charities to take their efforts to the next level by securing at least 20 unique donors and/or $1,500 in contributions.

In celebration of our 30th anniversary, we've raised the prize pool to a record-breaking level, strengthening that connection in a way that's unique to this milestone year. Participating charities have told us these incentives help them maximize their outcomes, and the Power Boost is our way of amplifying that impact, turning community generosity into even greater results for the causes and neighbors they serve."
Participating charities must meet specific criteria in order to be eligible for WCCF Gives prizes, and they are strongly encouraged to visit www.wccfgives.org to learn more. Details of the Power Boost opportunity will also be highlighted during the "Annual Appeals" webinar that is being hosted by the Foundation on Wednesday, August 12th.
During WCCF Gives, donors can support their favorite participating charities by mailing a check, making an online gift with a credit card, or making a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) from an IRA. Donors age 70½ or older planning to make a QCD should contact their IRA administrator early to ensure their gift is received before the final day of giving on September 10th. The minimum gift is $25.
