EIGHTY FOUR, Pa. – The Washington County Community Foundation (WCCF) is pleased to announce that $250,000 in grants will be available this year through the Range Resources Good Neighbors Fund.
Since the Fund’s inception in 2018, more than $1.2 million has been awarded to local first responder organizations through the partnership of Range Resources and its many contractors. Grants awarded through the Good Neighbors Fund have been used to purchase essential gear and lifesaving equipment, including ballistic shields, turnout gear, breathing apparatus equipment, thermal imaging cameras, video surveillance systems, and rescue equipment.
“Since the launch of the Good Neighbors Fund, we have seen firsthand the impact that reliable equipment and funding can have on emergency response efforts,” said Range Resources Community Relations Manager Christina Kramer. “Supporting first responders is an important part of being a responsible community partner.”
All exempt non-profit organizations providing emergency management services, such as fire departments and police departments, in Range’s core operating area are eligible to apply for a grant of up to $10,000. Eligible projects include support of an existing or new program or for equipment purchases. To apply, applicants should visit the Foundation’s website at www.wccf.net. The deadline to apply is Saturday, January 31.
