Washington County Community Foundation Announces Community PILLARS Class of 2025

EIGHTY FOUR, Pa. – The Washington County Community Foundation is pleased to announce the Community PILLARS Class of 2025. This charity governance certificate program was developed to help improve the governance practices of charities in Washington County.

Members of the Class of 2025 include: Carla Anderton, Mon Valley Academy for the Arts; Joe Baker, National Pike Trail Council; Gary Beam, Washington Christian Outreach; Lesley Brock, Beyond Survival Ministries; Kendra Casella, Transitional Employment Consultants; Abby Stark, Mon Valley Alliance; Taylor Duda, Washington Area Humane Society; David Jenco, Mental Health Association of Washington County; Dedi Kramer, Beyond Survival Ministries; Jordan Linck, Blueprints; Melissa Marion, Washington City Mission; Bradley Martin, City of Washington Citywide Development Corporation; Cassandra Muhr, Washington Symphony Orchestra; and Terry Vessels, Food Helpers.

The PILLARS program provides in-depth educational sessions taught by local content experts on six broad governance topics as follows: I. Mission, Strategy & Evaluation, II. Governance & Leadership: Board, Staff & Volunteers, III. Legal Compliance & Ethics, IV. Finance & Operations, V. Fundraising & Resource Development, and VI. Public Awareness & Advocacy.
