GIVE Washington County Fund Created at Community Foundation

The Washington County Community Foundation is pleased to announce the creation of a new grant-making fund that will support nonprofits throughout Washington County in perpetuity. The GIVE Washington County Fund was initiated by the EQT Foundation, the philanthropic extension of EQT Corporation, the nation’s largest producer of natural gas, with a $25,000 contribution that was enhanced by a $10,000 contribution from EQT CEO, Toby Rice.

Community Foundation Awards $710,000 in Capacity-Building Grants

The Washington County Community Foundation (WCCF) awarded a total of $710,000 in capacity-building grants to 24 organizations in 2022. Capacity-building is defined as any activity that increases the non-profit’s operational, programmatic, financial, or organizational maturity. The grants, which were issued from a variety of component funds and ranged from $10,000 to $100,000, supported facility improvements, program expansions, communications, financial process improvements, and technology.

WCCF Announces “Get Your Board on Board Challenge” Winner

The Washington County Community Foundation (WCCF) announced today that the Washington County Gay Straight Alliance has been named the winner of its inaugural “Get Your Board on Board Challenge" for WCCF Gives charities. This honor includes a $5,000 grant from the WCCF’s Acorn Fund.
